Torch Ginger, Etlingera elatior – also variously known as ginger flower, red ginger lily, torch flower, torch lily, wild ginger, Indonesian tall ginger and porcelain rose – is a species of herbaceous perennial plant in the family Zingiberaceae, and is native to the Malay Peninsular, Indonesia and New Guinea.

This plant is used in decorative arrangements and is an important ingredient in food right across Southeast Asia. It is used in many dishes in Bali, Thailand, Sumatra and throughout Malaysia.
