The statue/sculpture of ‘Chanquete’ has been relocated from Calahonda beach, where it was located since 2019, to the new ‘mirador’ at El Salon beach. Probably a better location for it in all honesty. Didn’t see any official reports or notifications about the relocation, but no real surprise there!

The new mirador (viewpoint) is part of the new path connecting El Salon beach to La Caletilla beach, which in turn is a part of the proposed ‘Coastal Path’ from Manilva to Nerja. The statue is adorned with a few ‘lovelocks’…
