Nerja, often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Costa del Sol’, is a small seaside resort on the Costa del Sol with a resident population of around 20,000 inhabitants. Sheltered by the Sierra de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama mountains, the temperate climate makes Nerja an ideal place to visit at any time of year. 

In addition to being a popular destination for visitors, it is also a warm and relaxing place to live and a relatively convenient base for travel. Having lots of beaches and more than 300 bars, restaurants and cafes certainly doesn’t detract from the experience! A great place for tapas…
