The sea was so calm and crystal clear you could even see the occasional plastic bag on the seabed. Fortunately only a few, but that’s still far too many. People continue to discard their rubbish everywhere – over the side of the Balcón de Europa, inside the cannons, on the street, in the riverbed (horrendous at times), on seats…No excuse at all in areas where there are bins every few metres. Same the world over, though.
