Gazania heterochaeta

I think these flowers, located down by the beach at Torrecilla (by the ruins at the end of the beach) are two varieties of Gazania, species found in South Africa but now widely used as ornamental plants. They are daisy-like flowers in the Asteraceae family and, being drought resistant, are ideal for this climate.

I believe we have Gazania heterochaeta (the orangey one)….and a yellow one.
