IPA Cerveza Artesanal

I enjoy the odd IPA, so I was keen to give this one a go after I came across it in a Carrefour Hypermarket. Part of the attraction was the fox on the label. I really enjoyed some Ardales IPA’s, nice and smooth, and some from Ronda which had a lot of flavour and ‘tasted’ stronger (if you get what I mean).

This particular IPA, brewed by La Sagra Brew S.L., claims to be 100% natural double IPA and contains barley malt, hops, yeast and with flavours of fruits and bitters. It is amber coloured and is 7.2% alcohol by volume. It does contain gluten, something which could be valuable to know. I do believe La Sagra themselves do a ‘sin gluten’ version, will have to check if Carrefour also do, it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

IPA

Brewing takes place in Toledo and La Sagra craft beers have won numerous awards for their various products. I would say this particular one is just a supermarket ‘own branding’ as it were.

I would have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a tasty brew, good alcohol content and goes down a treat (note to self to add more to the shopping list!!).
