It is not always easy (more than an understatement) to get up, let alone get out, before sunrise, particularly in the summer. But, if you can manage it, the light is generally great and well worth the effort.

This was down on the rocks by the Balcón de Europa in Nerja. A pair of Yellow-legged Gulls were watching over two juveniles and, at times, seeing off anyone who got too close.
